療技術の一つである再生医療分野について産業化と技術移転に関する現状と課題についてイン
タビュー調査を行い、科学社会学の視点から考察を行った。日本では基礎研究としての幹細胞
研究で目覚ましい成果を上げているのに対し、臨床応用研究や産業化のプロセスはなかなか進
まないという現状があり、これについては産学官といわれるような学術界・産業界・行政の距
離が一つの障害となっていることが明らかになった。
研究成果の概要（英文）：Regenerative medicine is one of the advanced medical technologies
that are politically promoted in Japan as well as in other developed countries. This study
conducted in-depth interviews and fieldwork to understand the current situation in Japan
and to illuminate the challenges for industrialization and technology transfer in this field.
While Japan is renowned for its achievements in basic research, the process of shifting to
clinical research and making industrialization tend to be delayed. From the perspective of
sociology of science and technology, this study demonstrates that the social distances
