The nuclei of normal galaxies also show similar activity to AGN, though their energy outputs are smaller by several orders of magnitude. This similarity suggests that massive black holes exist in all normal galaxies but the activity is weak due to some unknown mechanism. Here, I review recent work that revives an old accretion disk model which represents four types of activity, depending upon the mass of a central black hole and the gas accretion rate. These four types of solutions may correspond to the levels of activity in AGN and normal galaxies.}, pages = {856--870}, title = {Feedback of AGN turn-on in galaxies}, volume = {23}, year = {1999} }
