Finally, both of the stars become dynamically unstable on account of the photo-disintegration of iron. \n\nIn the case with neutrinos, the inversion of temperature gradient occurs in stages after central carbon-burning. This is due to the effect of neutrino loss coupled with the effect of electron degeneracy.
