本研究は、文化人類学の教育と研究に映像メディアを創造的に活用するための手法と理論、その倫理的問題について明らかにすることを目的としている。その実現に向けて、西欧の教育・研究機関において映像人類学教育について実地調査を行い、国際的な学術交流を図り、また、そこで得た経験と知識をもとに研究メンバー自ら映像作品を制作することにより、これらの研究課題に取り組んでいる。
研究成果の概要（英文）：
The purpose of this study is to clarify the approaches and theory of creative use of visual media for education and research of cultural anthropology, and its ethical issue.In order to solve this purpose, study members conducted a survey for the education of visual anthropology in universities and research institutions of Western Europe, then did international academic exchanges with researchers there.
