In particular, we focus on various P- and T-odd asymmetries which are defined relative to the initial muon polarization. First, we discuss lepton flavor violation (LFV) in SUSY GUT based on the minimal supergravity model. A brief review of the minimal supersymmetric standard model (MSSM) and SUSY GUT is also in- cluded. Next, we develop a model-independent framework for analyzing the μ+ → e+γ and μ+ → e+e+e- processes with polarized muons. We define various P- and T-odd asymmetries relative to the initial muon po- larization. Finally, we present the results of our numerical calculations for these asymmetries in the SU(5) and SO(10) SUSY GUT. As a result of a detailed numerical analysis,we found that the asymmetries and the ratio of two branching fractions are useful to distinguish different mod- els. We show that the P-odd asymmetry of μ+ → e+γbecomes + 100%--100% in the SO(10) GUT, whereas it becomes 100% in the SU(5) GUT. It is also shown that the T-odd asymmetry of μ+ → e+e+e- can reach 15% in the SU(5) GUT within various EDM constraints for the SUSY CP violating phases, whereas it is small in the SO(10)GUT. The distri- bution of differential branching ratios and asymmetries of μ+ → e+e+e- process are also useful to distinguish different models., 総研大甲第439号}, title = {Lepton flavor violation in supersymmetric grand unified theories}, year = {} }
