At present, there are two widely used \u003ci\u003ein vivo\u003c/i\u003e imaging methods; one is the\u003cbr /\u003etwo-photon microscope method, and the other is the fiber optics method. However,\u003cbr /\u003ethese methods are not suitable for the \u003ci\u003ein vivo\u003c/i\u003e imaging of deeper subcortical structures.\u003cbr /\u003e In this study, a novel method for the \u003ci\u003ein vivo\u003c/i\u003e imaging of pyramidal neurons in layer V of\u003cbr /\u003ethe cerebral cortex has developed by utilizing a MicroLSM system and a stick-type\u003cbr /\u003e objective lens that can be directly inserted into the target tissue. By using this method,\u003cbr /\u003eclear images of pyramidal neurons in layer V of the cerebral cortex were successfully\u003cbr /\u003eobtained under a low-invasive condition. 内容記述 | In the field of neuroscience, low-invasive <i>in vivo</i> imaging would be a very<br /> useful method of monitoring the morphological dynamics of intact neurons in living<br /> animals.
