内容記述 As a continuation of the preceding paper, the evolution of carbon-oxygen stars of 1.5M⊙ and 2.6M⊙ has been computed from a pre-carbon-burning stage to a pre-supernova stage for the two alternative cases, with and without neutrino loss.

In the case without neutrinos, it has been found that after the termination of central carbon-burning electrons become degenerate at the center and both neon-burning and siliconburning begin as strong flashes. Finally, both of the stars become dynamically unstable on account of the photo-disintegration of iron.

In the case with neutrinos, the inversion of temperature gradient occurs in stages after central carbon-burning. This is due to the effect of neutrino loss coupled with the effect of electron degeneracy. Finally, the 1.5M⊙ star and the 2.6M⊙ star become unstable on account of the inverse-beta process of silicon and the photo-disintegration of iron, respectively.
